Thank you so much for purchasing (or receiving you lucky thing!) a Kate Jackson Photography Gift Voucher. Please take a moment to read these terms so you know how everything works.

Gift Voucher Terms

  • Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

  • Each voucher has a value equal to the amount printed on it. This can be used either:

    • to cover a photography session in full, or

    • as part payment towards any family photography session or products purchased through Kate Jackson Photography.

  • If the voucher value does not cover the full cost of a chosen session, the recipient will need to pay the remaining balance at the time of booking.

  • Vouchers can only be redeemed using their unique reference code.

  • Only one voucher may be used per booking.

  • Vouchers are non-refundable after the 14-day cooling-off period and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Vouchers must be used before the expiry date. Any unused vouchers will become void once expired.

  • It is the recipient’s responsibility to book their shoot by emailing kate@katejacksphoto.co.uk.

  • Shoots usually take place within the West Midlands. If the recipient requests a location outside this area, travel charges may apply.

  • Vouchers cannot be used for an existing booking.

  • Sessions booked with a voucher may be rearranged once only. If the client cancels or requests to rearrange a second time, the voucher will be deemed void and no refund will be given.

  • If Kate Jackson Photography cancels due to illness or circumstances beyond control, the voucher will remain valid and a new date will be arranged (or a refund given if no suitable alternative can be found).

Your Photo Session

  • Gift Vouchers can be redeemed against any family photography package offered by Kate Jackson Photography.

  • The exact length of the session, number of images, and what’s included will depend on the package chosen at the time of booking.

  • For family sessions of 6 or more people, a double session fee will apply (this can be added on top of the voucher value).

  • For children under 1 year old, an at-home shoot is recommended.

  • In the event of rain, your session will be rescheduled, or you may choose to switch to an at-home session.

Image Usage & Copyright

  • Copyright for all photographs remains with Kate Jackson Photography at all times.

  • Images are licensed to you for personal use only. This means you can print them, share them with family and friends, and post them online.

  • Images must not be altered, edited, sold, or used commercially without prior written permission.

  • No third party (including other businesses or suppliers) may use the images without Kate Jackson Photography’s consent.

  • Unless you opt out in writing, Kate Jackson Photography may use images for promotional purposes (website, social media, competitions, or print).

Image Production, Editing & Technical Limitations

  • Every effort is made to ensure the smooth running of your session. Kate Jackson Photography carries professional-grade cameras, lenses, and memory cards, as well as backup equipment to minimise the risk of technical issues. However, in rare and unavoidable circumstances (such as equipment failure, memory card corruption, or unforeseen technical faults), Kate Jackson Photography cannot be held liable for any loss of images beyond reasonable control.

  • All images are carefully reviewed after your session. Any photographs deemed substandard, duplicated, or inconsistent with Kate Jackson Photography’s artistic standards will be removed during the editing process. The photographer will use professional judgment and sole discretion to select which images are delivered. This selection is final and will constitute the complete gallery available to you.

  • The number of images in your gallery may vary depending on factors such as the number of subjects, co-operation of those being photographed, the flow of the session, location, and lighting conditions.

  • Images will be fully edited in Kate Jackson Photography’s signature style, consistent with the work displayed on the website and social media. This includes adjustments to colour, contrast, exposure, and tone to create a cohesive look.

  • Retouching is not included. Photoshop body alterations (e.g. slimming, reshaping), removal of stains, or extensive skin retouching are not part of the service. Minor adjustments to colour balance, cropping, and overall cohesion will always be made, but clients should expect the final gallery to represent a natural and true-to-life record of their session.

  • Unfinished or “RAW” files are never provided to clients. Only the final edited images meeting the photographer’s artistic and technical standards will be delivered. This ensures you receive the very best representation of your shoot, delivered at the highest possible quality while staying true to Kate Jackson Photography’s brand, style, and expertise.

Style & Artistic Discretion

  • Kate Jackson Photography shall be granted full artistic licence in relation to the locations used, poses, editing, and overall style of imagery.

  • Although every effort will be made to accommodate client preferences, the photographer’s judgement regarding the style, composition, and number of photographs taken shall be deemed correct and not subject to dispute.

  • There is no right to reject images on the basis of style or composition.

Fees & Non-Payment

  • If a voucher does not cover the full cost of a chosen session, the outstanding balance must be paid by the client at the time of booking.

  • In the event of non-payment for services rendered, Kate Jackson Photography reserves the right of lien over all photographs until payment is made in full.Delivery of Images

  • Gallery delivery times depend on the package chosen, but are usually within 4 weeks of your session.

  • Only the best images that meet Kate Jackson Photography’s artistic and technical standards will be included in your gallery.

Other Important Bits

  • Images will be securely stored for at least 1 year after your session, but it is the client’s responsibility to create their own backups.

  • While every effort is made to ensure smooth running of the session, Kate Jackson Photography cannot be held responsible for unavoidable technical faults (see above). Backup equipment is always carried.

  • Personal data is handled in line with GDPR and stored securely. For full details, please see the Privacy Policy.

Complaints

I’m committed to making sure you have the best possible experience. If you are unhappy with any aspect of your session, please raise your concern in writing within 14 days of the issue. Every effort will be made to resolve matters quickly and fairly.
