Planning a small wedding, registry office ceremony or just looking for a few hours of wedding photography?

Maybe you're planning to run away together, just the two of you? Or perhaps you're having a little wedding with your most favourite people! You might even be going for the full shebang but don't fancy having a photographer following you around all day. Whatever your reason for landing on this page, I've got your back!

Weddings come in all shapes and sizes, and the sheer variety of them is one of the reasons I love my job so much! Smaller, intimate weddings are super lovely to be a part of, but you absolutely don't need to be having a tiny wedding to book me for shorter coverage.

Whether you need an hour or two of photography for your Birmingham registry office wedding, a few hours to capture your ceremony and celebrations, or you're planning a micro wedding or elopement somewhere further afield, there's no one-size-fits-all approach here.

And nothing changes about the way I work. I'm still shooting in that natural, informal way you love, capturing all the people, little moments and everything happening around you. Except with smaller weddings, I often get to feel even more a part of the family than I usually do, and that's a pretty special feeling.

From short and sweet registry office ceremonies to church services with 30 guests or a romantic elopement on a windswept hill. However and wherever you choose to say your vows, your wedding will still be full of love and joy. And it just so happens that love and joy are two of my favourite things in the world!

Small Wedding Photography Packages & Shorter Coverage

I like to keep this part nice and simple. No one needs more complications in their wedding planning right?!

My shorter wedding photography coverage starts from £700 for up to 2 hours for local (central Birmingham) weddings. This gives us time to capture you arriving at your venue, the ceremony, all those lovely hugs and congratulations afterwards, a few (in)formal family groups and some relaxed couple photos too!

If you want me to hang out with you for a bit longer, or fancy me heading over to the pub with you afterwards (cheers to that!), I also offer three and four hour coverage options.

Having a few extra hours means we can fit in a slightly longer couple's portrait session too. Don't panic, that doesn't mean I'm going to drag you away and force you into awkward poses. Not my style at all! It just gives us chance to do a bit of exploring, find some brilliant locations and you two get to have a bit of a breather and revel in the fact that you just got married (yeah you did!).

While you're doing that I make you giggle and take a few photos. This bit of extra time is perfect if you're having a Birmingham city centre wedding and fancy a cool, urban backdrop to photos of the two of you.

You could even think about having a 'first look' and getting some pre-ceremony portraits done, that way you just get to chill out afterwards and be with your loved ones!

Small Wedding Photography FAQs

Can we book you for just a couple of hours?

Absolutely! You don't need to book a photographer for the whole day if that's not what you're after. I offer shorter wedding photography coverage starting from 2 hours, which is perfect for registry office ceremonies, micro weddings and smaller celebrations.

And you don't actually have to be having a small wedding either! If you're planning a big celebration but only want a photographer for part of it, that's absolutely fine too.

How much does small wedding photography cost in Birmingham?

My shorter wedding photography packages start from £700 for up to 2 hours for weddings in central Birmingham.

If you'd like me to stick around a little longer, I also offer 3, 4 and 5 hour options, with the hourly rate getting cheaper the longer you book me for.

Everything includes your edited photographs, online gallery, slideshow, sneak peek and all the other lovely bits that come with booking me!

Is 2 hours enough for wedding photography?

For lots of smaller weddings, yes!

Two hours usually gives us enough time for me to arrive before your ceremony, photograph the ceremony itself, capture all the hugs and congratulations afterwards, get a few family groups and have a little wander for some relaxed photos of you both.

If you're planning to head somewhere else afterwards or fancy having more of your celebrations photographed, we can always look at adding a little extra time.

Do you photograph weddings at Birmingham Register Office?

I absolutely do! I've photographed lots of weddings at Birmingham Register Office and it's a lovely spot for a city centre wedding.

We can make the most of the area around the register office for your couple photos, or head off for a little wander around Birmingham if you've booked enough time. There are loads of brilliant spots for photos without having to go very far!

Do we have to have couple portraits and family photos?

Nope! It's your wedding, not a photoshoot!

Some couples want a few family groups and a little time together for portraits, others would rather I just photograph everything happening naturally. We can chat about what's important to you and work around that.

And if you do want couple portraits, don't worry, I'm not going to have you posing awkwardly for hours!

Can you photograph our wedding if we're getting married outside Birmingham?

Of course! I'm based in Birmingham but photograph weddings all over the West Midlands and further afield.

My starting prices are for local Birmingham weddings, so if you're getting married a little further away just drop me a message with your venue and date and I can put together a quote for you.

Will we still get all the same things as couples who book full-day photography?

YEP!

Just because you're booking me for fewer hours doesn't mean you're getting a lesser experience.

You'll still get my welcome pack and wedding planning magazine, a sneak peek, all your individually edited photographs, your online gallery with free downloads for family and friends, and a slideshow set to music. The only real difference is how long I'm there photographing your wedding!
