Natural, colourful wedding photography for couples who want to spend their wedding enjoying it, not posing for it.

Everything you need to know before we spend one of the best days of your life together.

Planning a wedding is exciting enough without having to decipher photography jargon or compare endless lists of what's included. So here's the straightforward version. Below you'll find my wedding photography packages, what's included with every booking, how I work on the day and answers to the questions couples ask me most.

How it all works

1. We chat
We'll get to know each other, talk through your plans and make sure we're the right fit.

2. We plan
I'll help with timelines, answer questions and make sure photography fits naturally into your day.

3. You get married
You enjoy every minute while I capture it all, stepping in only when needed for portraits and family photos.

4. You relive it all
I edit every image before delivering your online gallery, ready to download, share and enjoy for years to come.

Two images, one of a bride in a wedding dress is on a bucking bronco, the second is a couple in colourful outfits in front of pink metal shutters that say 'love life' in red, on an old brick building in Digbeth, Birmingham.

EDIT: I went to look at our pictures again right after leaving this review. If you don’t pick Kate Jackson as a photographer you’re probably making one of the worst decisions (if not the worst) of your life...not to be dramatic or anything but its true.... I also started favorting pictures but had to stop as there was too many!

Wedding Photography Packages

Choosing the right amount of coverage

Every wedding is different, so there's no one-size-fits-all package. Whether you're planning a relaxed celebration or a full day from morning prep through to dancing, I'll help you choose the amount of coverage that's right for your timeline and the moments you'd love captured.

Not sure which collection is right for you? Don't worry - most couples aren't! The guide below will give you a rough idea, but if you're still unsure, just get in touch. I'd much rather help you choose the right collection than have you book too much (or too little!).

Full day photography starting from £1350

5 hours

Only want me there for the heart of your wedding day?

Five hours could be the perfect fit. Depending on your timeline, I can usually capture your ceremony, confetti, family photos, couple portraits and, if you're having speeches before your wedding breakfast, those too

8 hours (most popular)

Want the story of your wedding day, from getting ready through to the celebrations?

For many weddings, 8 hours is the sweet spot. It gives me plenty of time to tell the story of your day, with enough flexibility to adapt to your timeline and everything you'd love me to capture. Depending on your plans, that could include morning preparations, your ceremony, confetti, family photos, couple portraits, speeches and usually your first dance.

10 hours

If your wedding day has a little more going on, 10 hours gives us a little more flexibility.

Rather than keeping one eye on the clock, we can simply enjoy the day as it unfolds. Whether that's an earlier ceremony, a longer drinks reception, golden hour portraits or staying well into the evening, there's more time to capture the atmosphere, the people and all those little moments in between.

So... tell me everything.

I'd love to hear all about your plans, from the big ideas to the tiny details you're ridiculously excited about. Whether you've already decided which package feels right or you'd like a hand working it out, just get in touch.

Planning something smaller?

Not every wedding needs five, eight or ten hours of photography.

If you're planning a registry office ceremony, an intimate celebration or a micro wedding, I also offer shorter coverage. It's the same relaxed approach, just for less time.

Did you know I shoot wedding films too?
