Gift VOUCHERs
Whooop!
I’m really excited that you are purchasing a gift voucher! All you need to do now is read through the T’s + C’s, fill out the form below. Once this is received I’ll raise an invoice and get your voucher to you!
Voucher Terms of Purchase:
Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. The photography session must take place within this 12-month period, not just be booked. I recommend booking the session at least 6–8 weeks before the expiry date to ensure availability.
Gift vouchers have a value equal to that printed on the voucher. This may be used towards a photography session or towards products purchased through Kate Jackson Photography.
Each voucher has a unique reference code which must be quoted when booking.
Only one voucher may be used per booking.
Vouchers are non-refundable after the 14 day cooling off period and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Vouchers are valid for bookings made before midnight on the date of expiry.
Should the recipient request that the shoot takes place at a location outside of the West Midlands, travel charges may apply.
Gift Vouchers for photo shoots cannot be redeemed against an existing booking.
Vouchers cannot be extended beyond their expiry date.
It is the responsibility of the recipient to book their shoot. To do this the recipient should email Kate at the following address kate@katejacksphoto.co.uk
Photography sessions booked using a gift voucher are also subject to the standard Kate Jackson Photography Session Terms & Conditions, which can be read below and will apply when the voucher recipient books their session.
Terms & Conditions
The (regrettably rather formal) purpose of the below T’s & C’s is to set out the professional basis on which we will act and to clarify our respective responsibilities. Yours, to enjoy yourself and just be you, easy peasy! Mine? To document it in the most wonderful way.
Please read these carefully as it confirms the basis on which we will agree to interact so as to avoid any misunderstandings. Even in a world of creativity it is wise to outline a contract which will ensure that we both know what needs to be done and where we both stand.
I will work to your requests to the best of my ability, both weather and circumstance permitting. In the case of rain the shoot will be postponed, or an option of an at home shoot given. I will deliver your photographs in an online gallery, edited and ready for you to use as you see fit. I hold the rights to the pictures and retain copyright but do not dictate you personal use of them.
Please take some time to read the below Terms & Conditions and hit ‘confirm booking’ once you are happy with everything.
1. Session:
1.5 – 2hrs shooting time
All images edited by me to a high and beautiful standard for your viewing gallery
50+ high resolution images in digital format to view and download in your personal and private online gallery, with full print rights for personal use plus web resolution images ready to download from gallery
For family sessions, if there are 6 or more people a double session fee will be payable.
2. Location: In and around the West Midlands, unless otherwise pre-arranged and at the discretion of the photographer. For children under 1 an at home shoot is recommended. Travel charges apply outside of the West Midlnads.
3. Image Usage & Copyright: The entire copyright of all photographs remains with Kate Jackson Photography at all times throughout the world. All photographs taken by Kate Jackson Photography remain the property of the photographer.
Clients are granted permission to download, print and share the delivered images for personal use only. Images may not be sold, used commercially, supplied to businesses or altered in any way without prior written permission from Kate Jackson Photography.
Please don’t think this means you can’t share them — you absolutely can! Feel free to share them with friends and family and on social media. I just ask that the images are not edited, filtered or altered after delivery so they remain true to my work.
No third party shall acquire any rights pursuant to this agreement. Images may not be supplied to external vendors, media outlets or businesses by the client without prior permission. If a third party requires images they should request them directly from Kate Jackson Photography.
Kate Jackson Photography may request permission to use selected images for portfolio purposes including (but not limited to) use on the website, blog, social media platforms, printed promotional material and competitions.
Clients are able to choose whether they grant permission for this use when completing their booking form.
All personal data is stored and handled in accordance with Kate Jackson Photography’s Privacy Policy.
4. Fees: A £125 booking fee is required to secure a session date and is non-refundable. The remaining balance is due after the shoot and before delivery of images. If a gift voucher has been purchased covering the session fee, the voucher may be used in lieu of the booking fee.
Payments can be made by BACS transfer, details of which will be provided on delivery of invoice.
5. Cancellation: Please note the client’s right to cancel all contracts in writing within 14 days, from the date you sign this contract, and any booking fee paid will be returned providing that no clearly personalised work or order has already been undertaken by the Photographer on behalf of the client.
If the client cancels the shoot, Kate Jackson Photography will reschedule another day and carry over the payment to another suitable date. The rescheduled time will be at Kate Jackson Photography’s discretion and during peak season there may be a wait period.
In the unlikely event Kate Jackson Photography is not able to provide services on your scheduled date and time due to causes beyond their control, your session will be rescheduled or refunded.
6. Ownership of records: In the event of non-payment of the fees for services rendered, Kate Jackson Photography reserve the right of lien over the photographs in Kate Jackson Photography's possession and may withhold them until such time as payment of my invoice is received in full. In exercising this right, Kate Jackson Photography will comply fully with any legal or professional obligations.
6. Weather and/or delays: Weather permitting, the photographs will be taken as agreed. In the event of inclement weather, Kate Jackson Photography, in cooperation with the client, will make the necessary changes to the schedule and will do her best to produce images within the time allocated to her. If it’s raining (more than the odd shower) I recommend either opting for an at home shoot, or rescheduling the date.
7. Image size, colour, style and composition: Kate Jackson Photography shall be granted artistic license in relation to the posed photographs and the locations used. Although every effort will be made to comply with the clients’ requirements, the photographer’s judgment regarding the location, poses and number of photographs taken shall be deemed correct and not subject to dispute. The photographer cannot accept responsibility for print quality and colour balance from third party printers.
Image sizes are approximate. The photographer will provide a pleasing colour balance but cannot guarantee exact colour matching. It is sometimes not possible to accurately match on film or print the colour as seen by the human eye. There is no right to reject on the basis of style or composition.
8. Delivery: You will receive your images within four weeks of your shoot, unless otherwise agreed.
Any images deemed substandard or duplicated may be edited out by Kate Jackson Photography, the photographer will use their professional judgement and sole discretion to select which images to deliver. That selection will constitute all images that will be made available to you. The number of images may vary from client to client depending on many factors including but not limited to: the number of subjects, co-operation of subjects photographed, efficiency of the shoot, locations and lighting. You will be provided with an online gallery of images that I deem acceptable. Acceptable images are deemed to be properly exposed, properly focused, colour balanced and edited in a cohesive mood. The Photographer does not release unfinished/raw files to clients. All photos that do not meet the photographers artistic and technical standards are deleted. This ensures that you get the best representation of your shoot as well as the highest possible quality that the photographer can provide whilst being true to Kate Jackson Photography’s brand, style and expertise.
9. File destruction: Whilst you will receive your photographs digitally and these legally belong to you, your images will also remain in my back up system for at least 1 year. They are always backed up but I cannot legally guarantee their safety through any technical difficulties therefore I always advise that you create your own back up. I also cannot be held responsible for any technical difficulties on the day of shooting as all equipment and memory cards are susceptible to fault. I can however assure you that I carry back up cameras, lenses and memory storage.
10. Complaints: I am committed to providing a high standard of client service. If you have any ideas as to how my service to you could be improved, or if you are dissatisfied with the service you are receiving, please let me know. All complaints should be raised by the client directly to the Photographer in writing within 14 days of the occurrence which gives rise to the complaint. The Photographer will consider the complaint and shall provide a response to the client within 14 days of receipt of the complaint. In the unlikely event of an unresolved complaint the Photographer may request the Guild of Photographers to mediate but only on the basis that its decision shall be final and binding upon both parties.
11. Privacy: The client agrees to the Photographer storing personal data pertaining to the the client under the condition that the data is collected, processed and stored in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The Photographer agrees that all personal data relating to the client will be deleted after 6 years following the session date. Please ensure you have read Kate Jackson Photography’s Privacy Policy which can be found here.
