Snap Photography Festival was one of those real life changing moments for me, not just in business but in life too. It’s been nearly two years since I attended my first Snap and I couldn’t imagine my life without it. It’s cheesy but so true, if there had been endless paths and I hadn’t ended up at Snap my life I know my life would be so different to today, like that time I quit my A Levels in History, English and Textiles because I wanted to go to Art School (hellllo big life choice that worked out so well).

Nancy and Lusea got married in an amazing blank canvas warehouse venue called the Old Dairy in the heart of Hackney in London and it was one fun and colourful shindig. When they first got in touch and we discovered we had a mutual love of hamsters, tattoos and Disney we knew we were going to get on like a house on fire. With enough balloons worthy of a feature in Up, neon details and all of the inflatables I felt like I'd walked into my own personal wonderland.

Pub Wedding in Dublin | Bek + Tim

Bek and Tim got married on chilly but beautiful Spring day in Dublin. Yes folks, I got to go to the land of Guinness, and a place special in my heart since it’s where most of my family hail from - Ireland! I love pub weddings, and a proper Irish pub like the Storehouse was an amazing setting. In the heart of Temple Bar with beautiful brickwork, and colourful graffiti back drops a-plenty on it’s neighbouring streets. I danced my socks off and laughed a lot too, it was so much fun.

I love shooting in London, especially in Hackney with a variety of awesome registry offices to say ‘I do’ in and loads of cool urban venues, some in walking distance to head to for a big celebration afterwards. The industrial setting of Clapton Country Club is probably one of my fave places for party fun times! Phil and Clare’s wedding was no exception.

It’s been a year since Tom and Helen’s epic 2 day festival barn wedding so it felt about time I shared all the all of the fun and games that was Quiffest. When Tom and Helen decided they wanted to get married they knew they wanted to do it differently, and they succeeded and then some with their 2 day extravaganza. It was a super fun festival wedding, full of colour, with wildflowers everywhere and an epic DIY photobooth that was a car spray painted gold. YES.

Lucy and Damien got married last autumn at the spectacular Chateau Lasfargues, which is a stunning venue in in the Lot et Garonne region in South West France. They chose to elope to France for the nice food, wine and weather and because it meant they could have a holiday with everyone they love too. Even when things didn't go to plan, like all that unexpected rain, everyone was super relaxed and having so much fun all day.

Tim & Bec are eloping to Ireland next year and since we all hail from Birmingham we met up last week for a pre wedding photography shoot (and some beers). I bloomin' love shooting in Digbeth and it's ace for a few drinks too! Tim and Bec love hanging out and going to gigs in Digbeth so it was the obvious choice for an engagement shoot.

Wedding Photography Bucket List

People often ask me what I LOVE to photograph most, and honestly my answer is always the same: people. They are why photographing weddings is the best thing ever to me, there's so much to shoot and no two are the same, even at the same venue. I love all weddings, no matter what kind. That said, I do have a wedding bucket list of sorts - here's a few off the top of my head. . .

One shot | Behind the madness

I want to tell you a story, one image - one big wedding. Why you say? Simple, every image is important. Each and every one of the little moments I photograph that make up a couples wedding day. The bits in between are just as important as the 'I do's', the speeches and the first dance. Whether it's a simple detail or something as simple as a hug that passed by in an instant.
