HOT! HOT! HOT! is one way to describe Candice and Lee’s absolutely mega fun festival themed wedding with a humanist ceremony during last Summers heatwave. Their festival inspired wedding took place the middle of a field with a tipi to take shelter, yurts for guests to camp in all weekend, Berryfields Farm was the perfect place for what they had planned for their super fun day.
Super chilled out Village Hall Wedding near the beach with all the wine and lot’s of fun. When Siôn and Sarah first got in touch with me about their village wedding in Llansteffan in Wales, I was so thrilled – they were planning a relaxed and laid back wedding with a humanist ceremony, food catered by their amazing friends Stephanie Booth Catering (seriously amazing food might I add) and even all the natural wine anyone in the world could get from Wrights Food.
Amy and Matt had their informal wedding at the fab Stoke Newington Town Hall with a reception at Clapton Country Club in London last summer. I love London weddings - there are so many awesome venues for a fun and relaxed day. Clapton Country Club is one of my faves!
Sheffield has always been my home away from home, since my cousin went to University there it’s always held a special place in my heart. When Hannah and Luke got in touch and told me their wedding reception was at 92 Burton Road I was so excited, it’s perfect urban venue for the fun and foodie wedding they had planned.
Nancy and Lusea got married in an amazing blank canvas warehouse venue called the Old Dairy in the heart of Hackney in London and it was one fun and colourful shindig. When they first got in touch and we discovered we had a mutual love of hamsters, tattoos and Disney we knew we were going to get on like a house on fire. With enough balloons worthy of a feature in Up, neon details and all of the inflatables I felt like I'd walked into my own personal wonderland.
Bek and Tim got married on chilly but beautiful Spring day in Dublin. Yes folks, I got to go to the land of Guinness, and a place special in my heart since it’s where most of my family hail from - Ireland! I love pub weddings, and a proper Irish pub like the Storehouse was an amazing setting. In the heart of Temple Bar with beautiful brickwork, and colourful graffiti back drops a-plenty on it’s neighbouring streets. I danced my socks off and laughed a lot too, it was so much fun.
I love shooting in London, and the industrial setting of Clapton Country Club is probably one of my fave places for party fun times. With a late 4pm ceremony in November that meant it got dark quickly and the party started sooner, going on until well past 1am because Phil bribed the band to stay later (legend). Being fans of good food, music, coffee and beer it was basically my own wonderland too and I was so glad I was there till the not so bitter end (unless you count the beer, the best of ways of course).
If you love festivals then you’ll love this DIY festival wedding!
When Tom and Helen decided they wanted to get married they knew they wanted to do it differently, and they succeeded and then some with their 2 day extravaganza. It was a super fun festival wedding, with wildflowers everywhere and an epic DIY photobooth that was a car spray painted gold. YES.
Right as promised earlier this week, here is wedding number one fresh on the blog. Let's rewind to August, in the beautiful wilds of Scotland, at Knockengorroch Farm, where two lovely people had a festival wedding like none other I'd attended before.
Last Summer Lauren + Clayton had a beautiful DIY outdoor wedding at Hyde Barn in the Cotswolds. With Pimms and a bouncy castle on the cards I knew it was gonna be a really relaxed fun summers day.
Lucy and Damien got married last autumn at the spectacular Chateau Lasfargues, which is a stunning venue in in the Lot et Garonne region in South West France. I loved photographing at Chateau Lasfargues, it was a total dream to shoot in. The surroundings are completely stunning and the building is so pretty. They chose to elope to France for the nice food, wine and weather and because it meant they could have a holiday with everyone they love too. Even when things didn't go to plan, like all that unexpected rain, everyone was super relaxed and having so much fun all day.
